Areas of Practice

COLLECTIONS

  • Consumer: Our firm handles consumer debt problems including credit card, auto deficiency, insurance subrogation, secured and unsecured loans from finance companies, banks, financial institutions, and credit unions. We handle evictions and recovery of rent and damages for many apartment communities.
  • Skip Tracing: We skip trace in house, and also use outside sources. Our legal assistants have access to a number of resources in addition to the internet. Occasionally we find it necessary and desirable to associate an outside source to help locate the person, employment, bank account or other assets. Usually there is no additional cost to you for this service. We will not incur costs without your approval.
  • Software: Perry Law Office has invested in a highly sophisticated legal collection software program from Commercial Legal Software (CLS). This software allows us to acknowledge receipt of the claim and send demand letters the same day the claim is received. All staff members have instant access to debtor records. Status reports on your claims can also be generated upon demand and can be customized to suit your needs. The software automatically calculates fees and can write a check to you the same day we collect from the debtor. This computerization gives us the capability of collecting and paying to you your money fast. We are a paperless office and we receive and forward claims using the EDI, You’ve Got Claims.
  • Fees: Our goal is to provide efficient legal collection service at competitive rates. We offer several methods for fixing the firm's rate of compensation. Contingency fee rates are the most common in the collection of delinquent accounts. Mortgage foreclosures, mechanic liens, repossession and attachment actions and bankruptcy work does not lend itself to contingency fee arrangements. The firm is willing to discuss compensation packages, including hourly rates, and flat fees in representing its clients.

SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY

  • Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) Hearings: We gather medical evidence, obtain medical opinions in a format that helps to demonstrate the nature and extent of health related difficulties, develop strategy, and provide representation at the ALJ Hearing.
  • Appeals Council Request for Review: In appropriate cases we assist clients who are requesting review of unfavorable ALJ decisions. This includes updating evidence and providing argument on the client's behalf.
